AUDREY HORNE states:
“”Waiting For The Night” sums up the essence of our live shows. It’s energic, catchy and has a great sing along chorus. It’s a huge invitation for the audience to sing with us and join the party. It always creates a great atmosphere every night and is a lot of fun to do! It’s our Rock n Roll all night anthem"
The Waiting For The Night is over: AUDREY HORNE returns with a magnificent live version of “Redemption Blues”, along with powerful footage from one of their legendary intensive performances. Passionate, timeless, extraordinary hard rock is the best description for a rousing track like this – everything you desire from energetic, heavy rock is bundled and expressed in “Redemption Blues”. The listener will experience undisputed authenticity combined with pushing riffs and a remarkable resonating live atmosphere. Toschie’s outstanding voice sits in perfectly with the dynamic and bursting sound of Ice Dale’s (Enslaved) and Thomas Tofthagen’s (ex-Sahg) heavy guitar riffs.
After 18 years, six albums and countless live shows, AUDREY HORNE returns with an incredible live record – proving their unique ability to overwhelm your mind. The new album, entitled Waiting For The Night, will be released via Napalm Records on February 20, 2020.
AUDREY HORNE has merged the highlights of two of their legendary concerts on vinyl and CD for the first time ever. Their upcoming record contains 16 energetic tracks that were recorded live at the "USF Verftet" and "Bergfesten" in their hometown Bergen (Norway) in 2018.
A melodic hard rock/post-grunge outfit based out of Bergen, Norway, Audrey Horne draw inspiration from classic rock bands like Van Halen, Alice in Chains, Kiss, and Iron Maiden, despite having roots in black metal. Taking their name from the character played by Sherilyn Fenn in David Lynch's cult television series Twin Peaks, the group was founded in 2002 around the talents of Torkjell Rød (Sylvia Wane), Thomas Tofthagen (Sahg), Arve Isdal (Enslaved), Tom Cato Visnes (Gorgoroth, King ov Hell), and Herbrand Larsen (Enslaved). The band issued an EP, Confessions & Alcohol, in advance of its full-length debut, 2005's No Hay Banda -- the album took home the Norwegian Grammy Award in the Best Metal Act category the following year. The group's sophomore effort, Le Fol, was released in 2007; that year also saw the amicable departures of Visnes and Larsen, the latter of whom continued to work with the group in the studio as a producer/engineer. The band released an eponymous third full-length outing in 2010, followed by Youngblood (2013), Pure Heavy (2014), and Blackout (2018).
