Six months after the release of the fourth Hybrid album, we revisit proceedings with the single release of the title track 'Disappear Here'. The album reached number 1 and number 2 in the US/UK and Canadian ITunes electronic charts and was well received all around. The lead track was always destined to be a single and here it is! It comes with a fine remix package in tow. The original 'Disappear Here' mixed a powerful piano driven song over the crunching Hybrid production.
Hybrid are a British electronic music group based in Swansea, comprising Mike Truman and Chris Healings, with the addition of Charlotte James completing their 2010 lineup. They are primarily known as a progressive breaks act, although they overlap considerably with progressive house and trance. However, the band are now taking a more structured approach to song writing, with the addition of Charlotte James contributing to the writing process. The duo are considered pioneers of the electronic genre, and have produced four studio albums, all garnering critical acclaim.
Disappear Here is Hybrid's fourth studio album. Work on the album had taken 2 years and recordings were only finished in October, 2009. Most of the album was produced at The Priory and the album's style fuses electronica with more of a live band approach than previous albums. The album is also introducing singer/song writer Charlotte James, as the new third member of Hybrid. James had worked before with Hybrid on the song "The Formula of Fear”, which was released as a single by Distinct'ive Breaks in 2008. The album was officially revealed on October 12, 2009. The album is being promoted by Distinctive Records, who have created a website especially for the album, as well as releasing three videos on the making of the album.
