Anna Abreu (born Anna Eira Margarida Mourão de Melo e Abreu on February 7, 1990 in Vantaa, Finland) is a Finnish singer who rose to fame as the runner-up of the third series of the Finnish singing competition Finnish Pop Idol in 2007. Her music is primarily pop, though her songs also have R&B, dance and Latin rhythms to them. Since her participation in Idols, Abreu is the show's highest-selling star, with record sales of over 170,000 from three albums. Her self-titled debut album is credited as one of the best-selling albums in Finnish music history with over 86,000 copies sold.
Rush is the fourth studio album by Finnish singer Anna Abreu, due for release in Finland by RCA on March 30, 2011. The album was preceded by the lead single "Hysteria" in January 2011.
The album was produced by Jukka Immonen, renowned for his work with Finnish singer Jenni Vartiaisen, whose Immonen-produced 2010 album became the highest-selling album in Finland that year. Principle photography for the album, including its cover and those of its lead single "Hysteria" was completed in Thailand in December 2010.
