'Kaleidoscope' is taken from the album 'Moon Saloon' by Arc Iris.

Arc Iris is the trio of singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Jocie Adams, keyboardist Zach Tenorio-Miller, and drummer Ray Belli. Though they are only a three-piece, they have a large arsenal of sounds and sensibilities to work with, and they use every bit of it to make beautifully textured soundscapes difficult to box into any genre. They’re set to drop their new album Moon Saloon later this summer and it’s a wonderfully far-flung mélange of sonics. “Kaleidoscope” melds syncopated boom-bap drums, multi-layered classical flourishes, wandering synths, ringing guitars and Adams’ pure, beautiful voice for a constantly reengaging, regenerative excursion. The Julia Liu-directed visual accompaniment is just as deftly dense. Aerial artists and band members are bathed in dynamic projections and motion-filled overlays for an enchanting play of light, shadow, and color. Here’s what Liu had to say about the clip:

“Kaleidoscope” represents this weird, sleep deprived, ephemeral conversation between the dancers, projection artist, camera crew, and musicians. Some of my favorite shots are ones I would not have predicted, which is what excites me about the piece. That and all the acrobatics.
