What is Brisfest?

Brisfest is a not-for-profit celebration of the Best of the South West, showcasing rising stars and future talent from the region alongside international headliners.

There’s 15 stages covering everything from Bands and DJs to Comedy and Circus, Street Theatre and Walkabouts. We aim to cover as many genres as possible so whether you’re into raving, moshing or simply exploring we’re sure you’ll stumble on something exciting. Brisfest also features a huge arts programme with renowned graffiti artists, massive sculptures throughout the site, digitally projection mapped stages, and many cutting-edge interactive installations. For those looking for something a little more chilled there’s a permaculture garden with acoustic acts around the fire, cinema tent, Body and Soul area, and workshops ranging from African Drumming to Salsa Dancing. For the little ones there’s a kids area with a new fully programmed stage in a covered tent, arts and crafts, dance classes, fun fair and inflatables. Then when you’re hungry there’s a wide range of world and locally sourced foods, as well as clothing and gift stalls from many local traders. …and if all that isn’t enough once again there’s an amazing programme of after parties to take you into the small hours.

Important Information

The event is open Saturday midday – midnight, Sunday midday – 11pm.
Accommodation or camping is not included with tickets and must be purchased separately.
The Brisfest site will have accessible routes and accessible toilets, however it is on grass.
Please dress appropriately for hot or wet weather, as appropriate.
No dogs or other animals permitted on site, except guide dogs.
You may be searched on entry.
No glass bottles.
Due to licensing laws we are unable to allow you to bring your own alcohol, however there will be very reasonably priced bars on site (and lots more than last year!), proceeds from which go towards the festival, helping to keep the entry prices so low.
There will be a challenge 25 scheme in place at the bars so if you are lucky enough to appear under 25 please bring ID.
The site is open to all ages, kids under 12 free. Please do not leave children unattended at any time.

Ashton Court is a beautiful manor house and estate within 30 minutes walk from Bristol City Centre. See ashtoncourtestate.co.ukFor those that know the estate we’ll be in the beautiful show-ground; the best field on the site where the Balloon Fiesta is held each year, just past the mansion (not below it though!). For those that don’t know the site it’ll be clearly signposted. The quickest route from the centre is via the Cumberland Basin, not via the Suspension Bridge although this will remain open…. but its the long way around!

Primal Scream, som ble dannet i Glasgow på midten av 80-tallet, fikk sitt store gjennombrudd med «Screamadelica» fra 1991. Et banebrytende album som for lengst har funnet sin plass i rockehistorien etter millioner av solgte plater. Bandet regnes som et av de viktigste i Storbritannia de siste tjue årene, med sin herlige miks av elementer fra rock og housekulturen, alt påvirket av samtidens musikalske omgivelser. Primal Scream er nå aktulle med albumet «More Light» som står til terningkast 5 i Dagbladet og som ”snor seg elegant mellom alt fra widescreen pop og smektende rock til psykedelisk elektronika og soul med største selvfølgelighet”. Velkommen til en kveld med et av 90-tallets mest toneangivende band.
