For the 18th video in UO's Music Video Series, Gia Coppola jumps into the control room to direct this dance video for Blood Orange, partly inspired by daytime television performances.
This music video follows the release of Palo Alto, Gia's motion picture directorial debut, which features a dreamy soundtrack by frontman Dev Hynes.
Blood Orange main man Devonté Hynes recently released his Palo Alto score, but the collaborations with film director Gia Coppola don't end there. Instead, she's just directed the video for his Cupid Deluxe song "You're Not Good Enough."
The clip, which was created in conjunction with Urban Outfitters, sees Hynes performing the song with a full band and a troop of dancers in a television studio. Everything's shot in soft focus, giving it a timeless (well, early '90s) feeling and dream-like quality. -- Exclaim!
