"Cities on Flame with Rock and Roll" is a song by the American hard rock band Blue Öyster Cult from their 1972 self-titled debut album. The riff was inspired by heavy metal group Black Sabbath's song "The Wizard," featured on their own self-titled debut album. A cover version is also featured as an encore co-op song in the 2007 video game, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Iced Earth covers the song on their cover album Tribute to the Gods. Japanese stoner doom metal band Church of Misery covers the song on their debut album "Master of Brutality".
