Connect to Brandyn:
Pop-soul artist Brandyn Burnette premieres the official video for "Thanks For Nothing," his tongue-in-cheek single about surviving a bad breakup, on Buzznet. The video was directed by Sarah McColgan, who has also directed clips for Miguel and Aloe Blacc.
"Thanks For Nothing" will be included on Burnette's upcoming EP for Warner Bros. Records, The Couch Surfing Chronicles - an homage to the years he spent crashing on the sofas of friends and family, and the life lessons that come with being in a constant state of motion.
Brandyn has been writing songs since the age of seven when he taught himself to play piano, followed by guitar. Now barely into his 20's, he has penned hundreds of songs with many of today's top writers and producers, including Busbee, Ari Levine, Kojak, Diane Warren, Emanuel "E-Man" Kiriakou, Evan Bogart, Martin Johnson, Lauren Christy, Kara DioGuardi, The Futuristics, and many more. He recently co-wrote Jake Miller's new single "First Flight Home" and "Don't Say Goodnight" by Nashville's Hot Chelle Rae. He also collaborated with MKTO on their debut album.
What the press is saying about Brandyn:
"Dropping out of NYU to pursue a full-time career in music can lead to many trying life experiences, including sleeping on couches and depending on the kindness and generosity of good pals. But newcomer Brandyn Burnette took the positive from those very situations during his leaner years and poured his personal feelings into pop jam "Thanks For Nothing" " - Idolator
"The young pop crooner's 'Thanks for Nothing' is a proper introduction to Burnette's rich portfolio of feel-good music. It's a hooky and radio-ready slice of sunshine pop that is anchored by a heartfelt sentiment. " - ArjanWrites
