C+C Music Factory is a dance music production group (led by Robert Clivillés and David Cole), notable for having seven No. 1 Dance/Club Play hits in the early to mid 1990s, as well as several pop crossover hits, one of which, "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)", reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 and R&B singles charts.
Clivillés and Cole also produced hits for numerous artists, including Donna Summer, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam, and Deborah Cooper.
Gonna Make You Sweat is the first studio album by production group C+C Music Factory. The album was released in the U.S. on December 13, 1990 (see 1990 in music).
The album was released during the rise of house music to commercial acceptance throughout Europe and North America. Following on the success of contemporaries Black Box and Technotronic, Gonna Make You Sweat was a worldwide smash, reaching number two on the Billboard 200.
