West coast experimental rap outfit clipping. have been frequent collaborative partners with Signor Benedick The Moor. The trio of Daveed Diggs, William Hutson, and Jonathan Snipes teamed up with Signor (Christian McLauren IX) on clipping.'s previous work, plus Diggs and McLauren are both members of the True Neutral Crew, so the new work from the group isn't much of a surprise.
The new single '12:00am' doesn't technically belong to either side, so it's treated as a stand-alone single and video, directed by Estrada. The video itself, placated by Diggs and McLauren's hectic verses, is a crawl-only project which plays wonderfully with a dizzying array of set pieces. Actor Mario Batres stars as the central figure, marching through the seemingly endless tunnel before he finds his escape.
