Math-rock group Confluence just released a brand new video to go along with its recent single, "Awaiting." Shot, directed and produced by Sam Campbell of NVRVR, the video features the band jamming in the back of a van and ends on a hopeful note that resonates with the single.
"Essentially, the video's lead character meets the love of his life at a house show, where we are playing," says Ian Gassman, lead vocalist and guitarist, explaining the video's concept. "She texts him, telling him to, 'Meet me where it first started out.' So, he has to drive around frantically, looking for the house where the show took place. We're playing in the back of his head (and the van), driving him onward."
Confluence's sound combines angular, math-rock arrangements with catchy melodies and subtle grooves to attain a sound that is both emotionally engaging and musically deft.
