Montreal-based electronic project CRi has shared a new clip for "Pearl."

The project is spearheaded by Christopher Dubé, who has been experimenting with his self-taught style of music since 2012. Inspired by the work of artists like Floating Points, Mount Kimbie, Lone and Jon Hopkins, the producer strives to deliver a "vibrant, intangible and grounded" sound, using analog synthesis and unusual samples.

His latest track "Pearl" features Montreal songstress Compton Chic, as well as Dubé's live performance sidekick Ouri. It's now been matched with some visuals, courtesy of directors Kristof Brandl and Justin Owensby.

The clip is set in a mostly abandoned Southwestern American town and its surrounding deserts. Upon his introduction to the viewer, our protagonist is frothing at the mouth, but nevertheless manages to pull off a sequence of choreographed dance routines. His smooth moves contrast his depressing, barren surroundings and definitely liven things up a bit.

There are also some bewildering cameos from other townsfolk, which only add to the video's surreal quality.
