Toronto doom-pop purveyors Crosss are saluting "Dance Down," one of the quieter tracks from their recent LO LP, with a suitably subtle and eerie cut-and-paste music video. The stop-motion mini-movie is online now.
Directed by Gart Darley and Andy March, the video focuses on the strange happenings going on within a bleak, mostly monochromatic forest setting. Jet-black ravens are perched atop a labyrinth of tree branches that are, oddly enough, starting to blossom with neon flowers. Elsewhere, a dapper set of cross-legged humans witness the bizarrely low gravitational pull of a few tiny planets, while another massive orb hangs high above a castle.
The off-kilter sights are all scored by Crosss's gloom-glopped acoustic number, as you'll discover in the player above. -- Exclaim!
