Daniel Moir's new video for "Sorry" depicts the Edmonton-bred/Vancouver-based tunesmith writing the song in question, but he also gets a little carried away with his pen.
In the clip, we see Moir sitting down with a couple of instruments to compose a tune. He writes the lyrics out on a sheet of paper and finger-picks the groove-based folk rock track before applying the pen to his own skin. He then takes out a sharpie and a set of paints and makes one hell of a mess all over the instruments and himself.
Moir said in a statement about the song, "I was in a period of my life where a lot of people were apologizing to me for a lot of things. It just got me thinking about the concept of being sorry, and how mistakes in life are unavoidable, but also the appreciation of how certain things are easier and more justly forgiven than others." -- Exclaim!
