Music from the album "When Dream And Day Unite" - Live in Tokyo, Japan - Awesome drum solo by Mike Portnoy.

"The Ytse Jam" (pronounced yit-see jam) is an instrumental by progressive metal band Dream Theater. It is the third track on their first album When Dream and Day Unite, and is listed as "The Ytsé Jam" in the original album booklet. It is also featured on the Once in a LIVEtime CD and the Images and Words: Live in Tokyo VHS and DVD. An excerpt from the song can be heard in "Instrumedley", on Live at Budokan, featuring Jordan Rudess on keyboards.

"Ytse Jam" is the word "Majesty" spelled backwards. This is a reference to the band's original name of "Majesty" which they changed for legal reasons. The name is also possibly a tribute to the Rush song "YYZ".
