Founded in Brooklyn but based out of Los Angeles, Dreamers deliver infectious indie rock in the vein of Surfer Blood and the Vaccines, the latter of whom they joined on tour soon after their inception. The trio of Nick Wold (lead vocals, guitar), Nelson (bass, backing vocals), and Chris Bagamery (drums, backing vocals) self-released the rousing, synth-kissed single "Wolves (You Got Me)" and an eponymous debut EP in the second half of 2014. It garnered attention from the mainstream and indie music press, and led to support spots on the road for other bands including Walk the Moon, Stone Temple Pilots, and Bear Hands. Jacob Wick later joined the band as drummer in place of Bagamery.

Dreamers hit the studio to develop material amid a busy tour schedule in 2015, and signed with Fairfax Recordings. February 2016 brought their second EP, You Are Here, which featured "Wolves (You Got Me)" as well as four new tunes. Titled This Album Does Not Exist, their debut long-player (which also included "Wolves") arrived that summer. The grungier "Drugs" followed "Wolves" into the Top 40 of Billboard Alternative Songs.

Dreamers kicked off 2017 by touring with the Griswolds. The year also saw them share bills with Weezer, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and the Maine, while their single "Sweet Disaster" reached number seven on Billboard's alternative songs chart. That December, "Painkiller" became the fourth single from their debut to hit the alterative Top 40. The Launch EP arrived in 2018 and featured the single "Black and White." Early 2019 saw the release of the single "Insomniac" ahead of the arrival of the full-length Launch, Fly, Land, which dropped later that April.
