Fallen Captive, a Cleveland, Ohio-based metal act, has signed with independent record label Urban Yeti Records.
Formed in 2010, the group cites Periphery, Killswitch Engage and After The Burial as some of the influences for their sound and approach to songwriting. "Not a lot of bands (if any) really have the overall sound we have," says guitarist Jim Bergmann. "Our different influences creates a more unique personality for our music."
When asked about Fallen Captive, Urban Yeti co-founder Mike Gevorgian says, "This is a band I've enjoyed as a fan for many years and I look forward to the metal community discovering and enjoying the talent of these guys the same way I have. These guys love music and they love metal. They are not trying to be something they aren't. I feel like their personality shines through their art and the songs they write feel organic."
The band pride themselves on high-energy live shows.
"We like to have fun on stage and we show it, smiles and all...it's who we are," says guitarist Rob Warmuth.
Fallen Captive is currently working on their latest album, which is slated for a mid-summer release. In the meantime you can check out their first realease from the album, "The Flooded Divide." -- AP
