LET’S BE MATESSS
FEWS are pleased to announce news of their first UK headline tour - including their biggest London show to date at Dalston’s The Victoria - throughout October. The band who have just released their debut album Means through Play It Again Sam , have rapidlyacquired a reputation for their live shows, recent outings at The Great Escape and Field Day and shows with Spring King, Fat White Family and Bloc Party have only enhanced that viewpoint.
The new single 10 Things, already a proven live favourite comes accompanied with a B-movie style storyline and visuals set in a bowling alley in which the bowling pins finally take a stand and fight back against their mortal protagonists in true lo-fi style.
An impressive entry into the world of FEWS, Means, produced by Dan Carey is awash with frenetic melodic guitar riffs that jostle with thunderous basslines and metronomic rhythms, their dark, danceable take on post-punk translating into frenzied audience participation.
Alongside their musical peers, further cryptic influences emerge via Paul Auster’s New York Trilogy, surrealist painter Rene Maigritte and Swedish football idol Zlatan Ibrahimovic, immortalised in the album track Zlatan.
