FireHouse is an American hard rock band formed in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1989. The band reached stardom during the early 1990s with hit singles like "Don't Treat Me Bad" and "All She Wrote", as well as their signature ballads "I Live My Life for You", "Love of a Lifetime", and "When I Look Into Your Eyes". At the 1992 American Music Awards, FireHouse won the award for Best New Hard Rock/Metal Band. They were chosen over Nirvana and Alice in Chains.

"Love of a Lifetime" is a song performed by the American rock band FireHouse. It was the band's second single and its highest charting single in the United States, peaking at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. It is also the band's first and most popular power ballad. The song was written by vocalist C.J. Snare and guitarist Bill Leverty.

The song is arguably what FireHouse is most known for. In a 2005 interview, Snare commented "now I have the benefit of time to look back over this and there isn't a show that goes by where people don't come up to us and are like "'Love of a Lifetime' - we got married to that song!"
