Released on March 4, 1997, "I'll Be" quickly became a huge hit, peaking at 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, at the time becoming both Foxy Brown and Jay-Z's highest charting single. In 2008, The song was ranked number 52 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop.
