Fresh from the release of his latest album What If, German composer Volker Bertelmann - aka Hauschka - has unveiled the visuals for 'My Kids Live On Mars', a stunning, poetic piece we're proud to share with you today.

The clip for the highly evocative track was directed by Sergio Pastore, who explains how he "tried to express the feeling of expectation and inevitability I caught in the song. I imagined these mysterious figures arriving, as a sort of guardians, on a nearly desert world to save the last form of life - a few bright flowers. There’s a kind of gentleness in their approach - they give protection and make rebirth in a new world possible. This video reflects somehow my concerns for the world in which we live. But it’s more about the concepts of hope and salvation - the idea of a second chance, somewhere else."

Hauschka says that what inspired him in Pastore's work at first sight "his layered, multimedia approach. So, I was very curious to see how a video for this piece - which explores utopian ideas on my kids future - would be reflected visually. He did an awesome job with this associative video."
