Post punk foursome In Letter Form premiere their “Edison’s Medicine” music video today on SF Weekly’s All Shook Down. The video delivers lucid black and white visuals and front man Eric Miranda’s ardent croon.
The premiere of “Edison’s Medicine” follows the release of their album Fracture. Repair. Repeat. (out via Metropolis Records). The album toys with grief and the five stages that come along with healing. In Letter Form considers their formation as a band to be a fortunate turn of events, as they were all experiencing heartbreak on some level when they came together.
In Letter Form draws influence from the works of Joy Division, Bauhaus and Interpol. The single “Edison’s Medicine” showcases their seamless blend of post-punk, synth pop and old wave. Indie Minded wrote of them, “theirs is that rare, reverential sound that not only makes you want to revisit classic artists but pushes you to want to know more of the story behind the intriguing new band that inspired them.”
