Music & Lyrics by Jennie Vee
Video by Katrin Albert (feat. Ria Bouttier)
NYC shoegaze and dream-pop artist Jennie Vee has released the enchanting video for her single “Spying,” courtesy of an exclusive premiere in The New York Post. Directed by Katrin Albert, and mixed by Snow Patrol’s Paul Wilson, “Spying” comes on the heels of Vee’s recent tour with Lana Del Rey. With a sound that music blog The Autumn Roses describes as “guitars chiming like bells and with satiny melodies, gentle and humane, despite the heartbreak," Vee has earned comparisons to Metric, Slowdive, and Black Tambourine. Her songs capture her brilliant pop juxtapositions: radio friendly on the surface, authentically indie on the inside.
According to NYC’s The Deli Magazine, Jennie Vee is “a rather, shall we say, glamorous-looking NYC musician and singer-songwriter who plays a brand of dream pop that flirts with modern rock.” In 2014, Vee caught the ear of Grammy Award-winning producer Chris Lord-Alge (Bruce Springsteen, Green Day, Stevie Nicks) when he handpicked and remixed Vee’s song “Wicked.”
