Second video from Josh Martinez' epic new album Blotto, Cross that Road is a song about coming to the fork in the road and having to choose your path and deal with the consequences. Its also about the battle for fame and name recognition that forces artists to focus on commercial routes to stardom and the price your pay for that path.
Directed by Sapient and Ife, hereby known as the Ghosts of Aurelius, this video features co-production from Stuey Kubrick and Sapient.
Canadian rhymeslayer Josh Martinez has been going strong in support of his latest LP, Blotto, having already released a video earlier this year in the form of the Evil Ebenezer-assisted cut "Ashes." Now, the Halifax-bred MC has unveiled another clip. Watch "Cross That Road".
In this artily done music video directed by Sapient and produced by Artistic Outlet Media, watch as the fast-rising rapper wanders aimlessly through a psychedelic fever dream while on a writing retreat in the forest. It's all very Lars Von Trier-esque, especially once Martinez encounters his dark doppelgänger, who appears to zap him of all his creative power. -- Exclaim!
