Description

"Voyeur" is a 1982 single release from Kim Carnes's album Voyeur.

The single reached #29 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #25 in Cash Box magazine. It also charted at #52 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play charts. The song also achieved some international chart success, but failed to live up to record company expectations, particularly after the phenomenal success of "Bette Davis Eyes" a year earlier. It featured a then-controversial music video, which was later banned for its suggestiveness.

In 1983, Carnes was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female category for "Voyeur". She competed against Linda Ronstadt, Pat Benatar, Bonnie Raitt, and the late Donna Summer.
