Each time Kwabs releases new material, he continues to prove why he’s an artist you should keep an eye on. Last year, he set up everything nicely to make sure that this year would be even better for him. With his debut album Love + War on the way, Kwabs keeps a firm grasp on our attention with his latest single “Perfect Ruin.”

Like many of Kwabs’ other songs, the power in “Perfect Ruin” lies within his deep voice. Each note from the piano amplifies both the lyrics and Kwabs’ vocals, allowing for the emotion to build as the song goes on. The video for “Perfect Ruin” only heightened that feeling. Watching Kwabs walk through cold, dark and vacant spaces as he sings these heartbreaking lyrics, forces his feelings to be projected onto you almost immediately.
