Music by Lambchop "NIV" from the album FLOTUS

Special thanks to Open Table Nashville

Next week, the long-running Nashville group Lambchop will release the adventurous, meditative new album FLOTUS. Today, they’ve shared a video for the Auto-Tune hymn “NIV,” and it’s a whole lot more meaningful than most music videos. Director Elise Tyler has used the song to soundtrack a sort of mini-documentary about a homeless couple, living in a tent in the woods in Nashville, trying to earn a better life before their baby is born. It’s a powerful, lyrical, humane look at two people with hard lives.

Lambchop, originally Posterchild, is a band from Nashville, Tennessee. Lambchop is loosely associated with the alternative country genre. The music website Allmusic refers to them as "arguably the most consistently brilliant and unique American group to emerge during the 1990s".
