Locksley is a band in the truest sense, fronted by three singing, guitar singing songwriters kicking out unabashed pop gems that beat with a rock n' roll heart. Produced by longtime collaborator Guy Benny, and released on the band's own Feature Records, Locksley captures the NYC based group's knack for timeless songcraft, melding three-part harmonies, glorious melodies and unshakable hooks.
Singer/guitaris Kai Kennedy, singer/guitarist Jesse Laz, singer/bassist Jordan Laz, and drummer Sam Bair have been making their righteous racket since coming together in their hometown of Madison, WI. Locksley soon lit ouut for NYC where they earned instant attention for their catchy tunes and stage presence. In addition to their own headline shows, the band have traveled in support of Hanson, Rooney, The Hives and Ray Davies (with whom they also served as backing band).
Locksley's self titled debut album's (out this summer on July 12th) manic pop thrills represent the definitive account of their electrifying first chapter. Songs such as the rip roaring first single and video "The Whip", the anthemic "Oh! Wisconsin" deftly thread the needle between pure pop perfection and punk's raw power. Locksley is an amazingly gifted band that have only just begun rocking to the peak of their powers.
