From Honey Harbour to Parkdale, Long Branch explores the dark edges where the city and the country meet, with a sound that touches on, but never rests at, country music, folk, psych and punk rock. Dead leaves, bare trees, redemption, resurrection, and difficult choices are embodied in the gorgeous guitars, fiddle and vocal harmony of Long Branch’s sound. The band’s pedigree includes past and present members of Adaptor 45, The Good Family, Venus Cures All, Chicken Milk and Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet.
With a year of live shows behind them, Long Branch have begun recording their already substantial repertoire. The debut single “Just In Case” and “Lucky Me” is out Feb 2016 for hearts swelling or broken, accompanied by their first music video for “Lucky Me”.
Toronto alt-country outfit Long Branch showed their listeners a little love by releasing their debut single Lucky Me/Just In Case this past Valentine's Day. To follow up, the band have now released an accompanying video for the first track.
Directed by drummer Don Pyle, the new video shifts between band performance clips and the day-to-day living of filmmaker/artist Margaux Williamson, who takes in the sights and sounds of nature with a trusted canine companion before catching the band for herself in the basement of Toronto's City Park Library.
