Love and Rockets are an alternative rock band formed in 1985 by former Bauhaus members Daniel Ash (guitars, saxophone, and vocals), David J (bass and vocals) and Kevin Haskins (drums, synthesizers). Former Bauhaus vocalist, Peter Murphy, had embarked on a solo career after Bauhaus split in 1983. Ash and Haskins had recorded and performed in another band Tones on Tail between 1982 and 1984.

"So Alive" is a song by Love and Rockets from their album, Love and Rockets (1989), released by RCA Records. It reached number three on the American singles chart and topped the Modern Rock Tracks chart for five weeks.

The song featured in Korean director Kim Ji-woon's 1998 debut film The Quiet Family.
The song was contributed to the soundtrack of the Roger Avary film the Rules Of Attraction.
