It’s hard to imagine Mac Miller and co weren’t aiming for irony with the release of his first single as a major label artist. The Pittsburgh native performed “100 Grandkids” after announcing the completion of his next album last week. At midnight, he shared that record in CDQ form by way of an accompanying video - his first in about a year.

Prior to Mac stunting in a parking lot with a yellow coupe adorning the background to boot, he plays the face of the moon. Costumed kids run about on set, acting the stage directions of a would-be playwright.

Watch the immensely entertaining “100 Grankids” above. Expect nothing less than a meticulous and calculated rollout between now and September 18, when Good: A.M. will drop via Warner Bros.
