Self-described “triumphant synth-pop” band Magic Man has seen a meteoric rise in popularity – despite a couple of lineup changes – in the past year-or-so, with a near-perfect Neon Gold/Columbia Records debut EP, an energetic and must-see animated live show, consistent touring, and radio play all over Alt Nation. And so we’re very excited that today was a big day in the Magic Man camp, as the five-piece have announced the release of their debut album Before The Waves and shared their newest single, equipped with a music video.
Magic Man’s newest tune “Out Of Mind” is full of everything that made us fall in love with the band in the first place: glossy vocals, infectious synths, and massive hooks. Its video – shot in Tulsa, Oklahoma – shows animated frontman Alex Caplow taking in everyday life full of old people, farming, and diners, making Magic Man ever-the-more relatable.
The new album Before The Waves will be released via Neon Gold/Columbia Records July 8th -- unrecorded.mu
