Usually known professionally as Melanie, she is best known for her hits "Brand New Key", "Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)" and "What Have They Done To My Song Ma". Melanie has sold over 25 million records over the course of her career.

    Well this video says it all. Simply wonderful. There is no other performer like her or will there ever be again. She has this entire place young and old, black and white getting into this song with her. She is still performing to this day, and has the stage presence to still match that of yesteryear.
