AUSTRALIAN NEO TECH BAND METALS TO PLAY GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL ON JUNE 27TH
Not for the demurred persona, Metals has been producing extraordinary tunes since 2009 and show no signs of stopping any time soon. Their latest hit “That Ain’t Real Love” shows off their eclectic sound. This is music that has been infused with elements of soul, funk, techno, rap, and even a hint of punk. The female vocals sound like a mixture of pop and rock that got smashed together by futuristic beings which when blended with their gnarly beats can only be described as futuristic perfection. Everything about Metals makes for a one of a kind experience that is truly out of this world.
Metals came about after former lead singer, Candice Monique, and Chris Coe met at a music festival they were both performing at. After Chris saw Candice’s performance he knew he wanted to collaborate with her and so they began writing and creating music together shortly thereafter. After a few years of being a duo, Candice decided to go in a different direction last May and instead of quitting the project Chris reached out to singer/songwriter Ehsan Gelsi and Stage Siren Vida Sunshyne to come on board. The Trio has since performed all across Australia and will continue their European Tour into mid July.
These Melbourne natives will be playing Glastonbury Festival this summer. Catch them at the Silver Hayes Stage on June 27 at 10:10 pm. With elements of the Ting-Tings, Lykke Li and Daft Punk, it’s definitely a performance you won’t want to miss.
Metals are post-jacking neo-tech rock-chipped booty-strutting soul-slinging groove-grinding funk-fed spacetime-shaking noise for unalloyed hearts and bodies. Forged in Melbourne for all your global sonic deconstruction needs by producer, DJ and all round groovemaster Chris Coe and singer, songwriter and stage siren Candice Butler.
Sounds and moves, wit and spit for all the passionate, sexy, angry, wired and world wise dwellers of the new century's digital chrome-plated cloud favelas. The ones who take care of their own shit. Nothing is wasted. It's all energy. It's Metals. For the world. From Melbourne With Love.
