Michael Feuerstack - Scorekeeper Directed by Scott Da Ros and AJ Korkidakis
Set in a timeless, neutral Montreal gymnasium, the “Scorekeeper” video revolves around a semi-fictional representation of the street game of “wall ball”. Feuerstack himself plays a lonesome ex-champ, who has moved on to a new phase in his life as an undervalued referee. The song’s visual representation is by turns literal and wildly interpretive - at once comical, sad and a little bit surreal. Look for appearances from some of Feuerstack’s real life musical and wall ball collaborators.

He may have ditched the Snailhouse moniker and branched out with this year's collaborative Singer Songer, but a busy schedule hasn't stopped Michael Feuerstack from delivering new material. This time, it's in the form of a video for "Scorekeeper."
The clip is set in a Montreal gymnasium and features the singer-songwriter as a wall-ball player whose glory days are behind him. Settling for life as a referee, Feuerstack's character reflects the "comical, sad and a little bit surreal" theme of the song itself, according to a press release.
The track closes out Feuerstack's 2013 record Tambourine Death Bed, but gets some new life with the just-released visuals. And despite the rousing air sax solo scene in the video, the beautifully sad brass sounds actually come to us courtesy of Colin Stetson. -- Exclaim!
