Monogrenade's dark and atmospheric electro-pop is being paired with a suitably ashen and evolutionary video treatment for Composite cut "Métropolis."
As if starting from the dawn of time, the black and white clip first finds an island-locked little boy waking up to discover the wonders of his surroundings. Scored by subtle symphony strings, whispered vocals and synthetic bell rings, the boy witnesses as several landscapes rise and fall, from natural forest settings to overwhelming, overpopulated building projects.
Alluding to life cycles and the passage of time, you'll find the somehow equally magical and bleak video treatment down below. It was directed by Christophe Collette (the brother of drummer Mathieu Collette).
On top of the new video, Composite will see its release in France on Atmosphériques September 1. -- Exclaim!
