'Wind Blows Harder' released 16th June 2014 on Young & Lost Club.
Written & performed by Natalie McCool. Produced and mixed by David Berger of the band 'Outfit'.
Natalie McCool‘s voice is a fresh breeze coming in from England’s prominent North-West scene. She recently picked up Female Artist of the Year at the Liverpool Music Awards 2013, which was then followed by a signing to Young & Lost Club. Now, this Liverpuddlian songstress’ pitch-perfect warble pulls the listener through a gentle indie-pop track, “Wind Blows Harder”.
The folky guitars and drums follow the ebb and flow of McCool’s gorgeous voice, with it’s accented inflections that make her a real sit-up-and-listen singer. Taking her influences from Johnny Marr and Elizabeth Fraser, shown through a heavy emphasis on guitar and vocal work in this single, which was produced by Outfit band member David Berger. To me this sounds like the dreaminess of London Grammar meets the rawness of Lana Del Rey – so, all in all, a great combination. -- unrecorded.mu
