Description

A SIX STAIR PRODUCTION

VIDEO BY: RICK CHARNOSKI

-

L.A. hardcore quartet Obliterations stick it to the working world in a new, grainy video montage repping their debut 7-inch's "Wage Slaves," and we warn you, it ain't pretty.

As we had heard before, the song itself brutalizes via metal-minded Black Flag riffs and guitarist Stephen McBean's occasionally off-the-rails lead work, while singer Sam Velde runs his throat ragged talking about slave-driver bosses and the slave mentality of all you nine-to-fivers out there.

Visually, we're treated to a politically loaded series of VHS-recorded clips, with rawer moments including the infamous on-air suicide of Pennsylvania Senate member R. Budd Dwyer, an in-reverse clip of a baby being shoved back into its mother, and some butt-slapping S&M action that subverts the intention of Velde's angrily choked out "Can you hear the whip crack?" Consider this NSFW.

Obliterations' self-titled 7-inch is out now through Outer Battery Records.
