Here's Low on the Hog from the first night of the Domestic Eccentric sessions with Tim O'Brien in the cabin in Chester on Old Man Luedecke's birthday.
"Low on the Hog was so fun to record. It grooves along and was first tune we cut in the cabin for Domestic Eccentric. Last year I had been complaining to my wife about something and she said "don't worry. We'll just live lower on the hog." The expression sounded so weird I wrote the song about how things are seem harder now at times than when we first really excited to try them. They're not, but I really love the refrain, it's pretty and upbeat. I think the song with Tim playing mandolin and me playing guitar is a classic combo and this video captures the actual recording of the song in real time. No hesdphones, just music on my moonlit birthday on day one of recording. "- Old Man Luedecke
