"Don't Toss Us Away" is a single release by Patty Loveless, recorded at MCA/Nashville in the spring of 1988. It was included on her third album with MCA Records, Honky Tonk Angel, with the single being released in February 1989. It was the second single released from the album.

This song was originally recorded by the band Lone Justice. Loveless and her brother, Roger Ramey, heard the song while driving with Tony Brown. All of them agreed it would be a good song for her to record, as the ballad fit her vocal style quite well. Marie MacLean, songwriter Bryan MacLean's sister, at the studio.
