Pickwick / "Halls of Columbia"

Filmed, directed and edited by Tyler Kalberg

Audio recorded and mixed by Kory Kruckenberg

Pickwick's debut album, Can't Talk Medicine, arrived the better part of a year ago in Canada through Dine Alone Records, and now the Seattle outfit are looking back on that LP with a video for opening cut "Halls of Columbia."

This isn't so much a traditional music video as it is a quirky live remake. We see the band performing outside on the street — in what appears to be Seattle's Pioneer Square neighbourhood — while backed by a brass section. Frontman Galen Disston makes himself heard over the pep rally-stye arrangement by singing into a crackly megaphone while a single camera captures the action.

It was directed by Tyler Kalberg and recorded by Kory Kruckenberg.
