RAY BLK - My Hood ft. Stormzy (prod. by Courage)

South London posterchild Ray BLK unveils the anticipated visual for current single 'My Hood', which has already seen strong support across the board.

The video reunites BLK with director Hector Dockrill, who also worked on her show-stopping debut video for '5050'. In this clip, we explore South London through the eyes of Ray and Stormzy, who also features on the track. The set was purpose built for the video and depicts common situations across the region; chicken shops, barbers and home settings. "We decided to build a set and make a fake hood, so it was a bit more theatrical to show that although people feel like the hood isn't a real place," BLK told Dazed. "People who aren't from here, when they read in the newspaper that a boy's been stabbed or this is happening, and that is happening, it's very surreal, so I think for people who aren't from there, it's almost like a theatre show, and so we wanted to mirror that but to emphasise that the hood is a real place."

'My Hood' is available now on all good digital platforms.
