"Gitty Up" is a 1998 single released by American R&B and hip-hop group Salt-N-Pepa. The single was released as the second single taken from their fifth studio album Brand New. The song contains an interpolation of "Give It to Me Baby" by Rick James.


Salt-N-Pepa is an American hip-hop/rap trio from Queens, New York City, New York. The group, consisting of Cheryl James ("Salt"), Sandra Denton ("Pepa") and originally Latoya Hanson, who was replaced in 1986 by Deidra Roper ("DJ Spinderella"), was formed in 1985 and was one of the first all-female rap groups. They won the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for their song "None of Your Business".
