Secret Arcade is the alias of Babak Govan, also a fiction author. With the lead singles "Fall for Me", "Suspect", and "Save Me", the debut synthpop/dark-wave/electronic rock album Quarter Century is a fusion of dark and light elements reminiscent of influencers Depeche Mode, Morrissey, and The Cure. Two tracks include work by keyboardist Roger Joseph Manning, Jr. of Beck's backing band and whose projects include Jellyfish, Johnny Cash, Interpol, and Morrissey. Glen Nicholls (e.g., Depeche Mode, Snow Patrol) mixed and mastered the album.
The newly released music video for the album's single "Suspect" focuses on experimental play with lighting, which juxtaposes nicely with the swirling staccato of the track's electronic aspects. These light displays intercut with fast-paced sequences of chase scenes leading to an eventual capture intensify the already evocative lyrics in a nail-biting tale that begs the question: who's chasing who
