Shad has recently made a habit of cleaning up Canadian controversy, stepping in to take the host's chair from Jian Ghomeshi at CBC's Q and taking Action Bronson's spot on the bill at NXNE. But in the latest video from the Live at Massey Hall series, we get to see him doing what he does best - headlining his own shows.
The rapper took to the storied stage back in March, and now you can relive a handful of choice cuts from the set. Gorgeously filmed in both black-and-white and vibrant colour, the clip showcases songs like "Progress," "Rose Garden" and "Stylin,'" as well as a brief interview with the MC.
Backed by a full band, Shad quickly gets the crowd on their feet - a rare sight given the venue. Catch a glimpse of the stellar set in the video above. It was directed by Adrian Vieni and recorded and mixed by Steve Major. -- Exclaim!
