Official Music Video for 'Crane' from the debut album (produced by Boz Boorer) 'Cranes In The City'.
Edited by: Simeon Ross
Original 8mm footage from the Ross family archives (1953,1966,1968)
2013 footage shot by: Simeon Ross & Karen Lewis
Produced by: Motionlight Films
Shot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II

The scope of the video covers Dr. Colin A. Ross M.D.'s (Sim's Dad) life from infancy to present day focused mostly on footage taken in London, England during the summer of 1968 with Colin and then girfriend, Patou Lardillier. In June, 2013 a trip was booked to London (with Sim, Erin, Colin, and current girlfriend Karen Lewis) to shoot at the exact same locations the original 8mm footage was captured 45 years earlier.

Toronto indie outfit Shoot the Image released their debut album Cranes in the City late last summer through Aporia Records. Along with that, they've been rolling out a series of music videos from the album, the latest of which is for "Crane."

The track is a percussive number featuring dreamy instrumentation and melodies that recall British pop rock from the '80s and '90s. This retro Anglophilia is emphasized by the video, which was shot largely in London, UK, and consists of grainy home movies along with some modern footage. It was edited by the band's Simeon Ross using footage from the Ross family archives.
