Music video by Soul Asylum performing Somebody To Shove. (C) 1992 SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT

"Somebody to Shove" is a 1992 single performed by the Minneapolis rock band Soul Asylum. It reached #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks and #9 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks, and it was this success, along with the success of the band's more famous hits "Runaway Train" and "Black Gold," that helped bring their album, Grave Dancers Union, to a multi-platinum level.

The song was written by Soul Asylum's lead singer Dave Pirner. It was the first single off of their album.
