More Info & Tour:

Sound of Ceres is a dream pop collaboration band with members from 3 popular acts such as Candy Claws, The Apples in Stereo, and The Drums.

Unlike Candy Claws, this time Karen and Ryan are setting their sights on space, and propelling themselves into the future.

Sound of Ceres were founded in Fort Collins, Colorado in 2014. After releasing three albums with their band Candy Claws, Karen and Ryan Hover left to develop a new sound with a new band. Sound of Ceres today is the duo, joined by Robert Schneider, Ben Phelan and John Ferguson of The Apples In Stereo and Jacob Graham of The Drums. Their first album together, released March 4, 2016, is entitled Nostalgia For Infinity, released on Joyful Noise Recordings. Described as a response to "the hugeness of time and space", their debut was well received.

Their second album, The Twin explores the strangeness of being "one human outcome amidst an infinitude of possibilities." The band found inspiration in the book The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann. With finished demos, the band took their music to Reykjavik, Iceland to be produced by Alex Somers. 'The Twin' was released October 6, 2017.
