Following a run of successful shows at SXSW festival plus support shows with Jake Bugg, Sydney-based quartet Spookyland have shared their video for the new single Big Head .
Primarily shot at Green’s Point in Brooklyn, NY the video see’s Spookyland battle snowstorms and rejection and is an impressive showcase of vocalist Marcus Gordon’ striking vocal and distinctive lyrical style.
Speaking of the video, Marcus Gordon says: “We had a night off and it was snowing in a really terrific way. Oscar Zabala (director) had lived around the Williamsburg area for six years, his genius with a camera, location wisdom and the snow allowed us to swiftly and spontaneously capture the video”
‘Big Head’ is taken from the bands long awaited debut album ‘Beauty Already Beautiful’ out 6th May on Play It Again Sam. The band will be touring throughout April supporting Gang Of Youths before hosting their own pair of headline album launch shows on Wednesday 11th May at Newtown Social Club in Sydney and Melbourne’s Shebeen Bandroom Thursday May 12th.
