For the 20th installment of the Urban Outfitters Music Video Series, Spoon teams up with director Hiro Murai on the song "Do You" off Spoon's new album They Want My Soul.
They Want My Soul, the new album from Spoon, is in stores on August 5th. If you pre-order the album on iTunes or Amazon, you'll be able to download the album's first two singles "Rent I Pay" and "Do You" instantly.
While indie rock heroes Spoon gave us their new single "Do You" early this month, the band have now fitted their They Want My Soul track with its own video.
The clip was directed by Hiro Murai, who explained the video's concept to Urban Outfitters by saying, "Not to get super heady about a music video concept, but I'm really interested in a pocket moment that takes place in a doomsday world." He added. "Hey, once you own the chaos of the apocalypse, there's a certain kind of calmness to it."
This all plays out stylishly, as frontman Britt Daniel cruises around Sunday-drive style as all that apocalyptic chaos surounds him.
As previously reported, They Want My Soul arrives on August 5 via Loma Vista. -- Exclaim!
